When is Litmus Live?

Litmus Live will take place September 11-13, 2023 at The Westin at Copley Place in Boston, MA and virtually.


When does the conference begin and end?

Workshops on Monday, September 11th begin at 8:00am ET for the morning sessions and 1:00pm ET for the afternoon sessions. 

The main conference will start with the first general session on Tuesday, September 12th at 9:00am ET and will end on Wednesday, September 13th at 5:00pm ET.


Will Litmus Live be in-person in 2023?

Yes! We’ll be back in person in Boston, but we’ll also be live streaming sessions for anyone who wants to attend virtually. 


Do I need to be a Litmus Customer?

Nope! Anyone is welcome to attend. Litmus Live is not a user conference—which means that sessions are packed with useful, real-world advice applicable to many different platforms and approaches to email creation.


What are the ticket prices for Litmus Live?

Based on the attendance type, we’ve set the ticket prices as the following:

Will Litmus offer free digital tickets again this year?

Yes!  We’ll have a limited number of free digital tickets this year! Like 2022, Digital (paid) tickets provide you with access to all Litmus Live 2023 sessions, on-demand sessions for a full 12 months–and full networking opportunities with the rest of the email community. 

With a Free ticket attendees can access all the live sessions and limited networking opportunities. This ticket does not include access to on-demand sessions after the conference ends. 


Does Litmus provide invoicing?

Invoicing is available for purchases of 5 or more tickets. Email conference@litmus.com with the customer name, email address, physical address, and total ticket amount to get an invoice. The customer will not be provided with a code to get their ticket until they’ve paid the invoice. Litmus will provide the code once payment has been confirmed.  


Can I register for multiple team members?

Yes! You can register up to 10 team members at a time.


What if I need to cancel my registration?

Conference registration canceled online on or before:

  • April 30, 2023, will receive a full refund but subject to a $10 administrative fee
  • July 31, 2023, will receive 50% of their registration fee
  • August 11, 2023 will receive 10% of their registration fee

Registrants canceling after August 11, 2023, will NOT receive a refund. The refund and cancellation policy will not be waived. Registrations may be transferred to another person by emailing conference@litmus.com. If there are extenuating circumstances (such as illness), you can use the same email address.

Is there a hotel block available for Litmus Live 2023?

Yes, Litmus has reserved a hotel block at The Westin Copley Place. You will have the opportunity to book your room on the confirmation page of your registration. Inventory is limited, available on a first-come-first-booked basis, and our discounted rates are only available until Friday, August 18, 2023, so book now.


How do I book a hotel for Litmus Live or make changes to an existing reservation?

You can make online hotel bookings for Litmus Live during the registration process. If you wish to add a hotel at a later date or update your existing reservation information, log in with the email and confirmation number used during registration.

Note: Hotel accommodations are available on a first-come-first-booked basis until Friday, August 18, 2023.


What is the hotel cancellation policy?

If you reserve a room via the Litmus Live registration process, cancellations must be made according to The Westin’s cancellation policy. Any cancellations within 72 hours of arrival will forfeit one night’s room and tax.


If I cancel my Litmus Live registration, can I transfer my hotel reservation to another attendee?

Yes, please contact The Westin directly to update the name and credit card on file for the reservation.


Can I book multiple rooms on my registration for myself and a colleague?

No. All attendees must register and book their own hotel reservations.


What if I don’t check in on my scheduled arrival date?

If you don’t check in to your hotel on your scheduled arrival date, the hotel will cancel your entire reservation. The hotel can choose not to reinstate your reservation, even if you arrive the next day. You will also be charged a penalty of the cost of one night’s room and tax, regardless of whether or not the hotel chooses to reinstate your reservation.


Can I make a hotel reservation through Litmus Live registration without a credit card to guarantee my reservation?

No. All hotel reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card at the time of booking.


Can I pay the hotel with a different credit card than the one I provided when I reserved the room?

Yes, as long as you are the cardholder for the credit card you present at check-in.


Can I pay the hotel with a card that was provided when I reserved the room, which is not in my name?

If the card used as a guarantee for your hotel reservation is not in your name, that cardholder must be present at check-in. A credit card authorization form can also be set up with the hotel before your arrival. Please contact the hotel directly to obtain a credit card authorization form using the contact.


I want to arrive earlier/stay later than the system is showing as available. How can I adjust my reservation?

If you would like to arrive before the event but are not seeing those dates as an option, use the check-in date of Saturday, September 9, and set your checkout date to Thursday, September 14. Once you have completed a reservation with those dates in the system, please contact The Westin directly to update your reservation.


Will Litmus serve meals that accommodate my dietary needs?

Litmus Live provides meals that accommodate a variety of dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, halal, and kosher. When you arrive at the meal area, ask an attendant for the available meal options. We’ll attempt to accommodate additional special requests, although we cannot guarantee the ability to fulfill every request. Special meals are available on a first-come, first-served basis.


What is Litmus doing to protect my health and safety in Boston?

Litmus cares about the health and safety of our customers, employees, and communities. We continue to monitor local health protocols and mandates to ensure we can meet them in the safest way possible. We will do our best to communicate any changes as they arise and appreciate your cooperation to ensure we can gather in a safe and compliant manner.


Which airports are closest to Boston?

Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) . Logan is a 15-30 minute drive from Copley Square in Boston and is accessible via the T Blue Line to the T C Green Line train.


How do I request a visa letter of invitation?

You can request an invitation letter to accompany your visa application to attend Litmus Live after the registration process. We require that a ticket be purchased in advance of the invitation being issued (this is to prevent immigration/visa fraud). Please send the following information to conference@litmus.com:

  • Attendee name
  • Company name
  • Company address

Please note that requesting a visa invitation letter does not guarantee that your local authorities will grant a visa to attend Litmus Live. Additionally, you are responsible for submitting your visa application to your local embassy/consulate; conference management will not submit it on your behalf. If the visa is not approved, we will refund the ticket cost.


Is the in-person Litmus Live experience open to international travelers?

Litmus Live is open to international travelers who abide by regional travel restrictions and guidelines.


Will we be offering the “Litmus Certified” program again?

We’re hard at work to create a version of Litmus Certified that you can take at your own pace, any time of the year. Subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates as we get closer to launch! During Litmus Live, we will be bringing back our pre-conference workshops for our in-person attendees.


How many workshops will be available on Monday the 11th?

We are still working on the number of workshops being held, but we’ll have topics listed when registration opens. 


How do attendees register for workshops?

Interested attendees will need to purchase a Litmus Live Boston ticket and add each workshop for an additional fee to their registration. All workshop attendees will be provided meals and refreshments on Monday, September 11, 2023. 


How much are workshops?

Each individual workshop is $599 per person. We’ll also have a 10% discount for attendees that want to attend more than one workshop. 


Can I attend just a workshop?

No. Workshops are only available as part of regular conference registration.


Will workshops only be offered in-person or are these sessions also live streamed?

Workshops will only be available to in-person attendees.


What if I’m not in the US time zone?

Litmus Live Digital tickets give you access to all the sessions on-demand at the end of each day, so you’ll have access at any time.  


I missed a session. Is there a way I can catch it on demand?

Litmus Live Boston and Litmus Live Digital ticket holders can check out all sessions on-demand starting Thursday, September 14, 2023. Sessions will be available until September 14, 2024.


Where do I view the Schedule to see what’s happening throughout the event?

Click on the Schedule tab on the top Navigation Bar for the complete schedule. You can also find speaker information on this page.


How do I enter a Session?

Click on the Schedule tab on the top navigation bar. When your desired session is live, enter by clicking the “Join Now” button


What is the recommended browser and device for the Digital event platform?

Up-to-date versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge or Opera are all compatible with the event platform. (We do not recommend using Internet Explorer). For the optimal experience, don’t keep several tabs open at one time.

We highly recommend using your laptop to attend Litmus Live 2023, but the event platform is accessible on all devices, including laptops, desktops, tablets and mobile phones (provided you are using the most up-to-date version of your Internet browser). 


What are the system requirements within the digital event platform?

The event platform requires the latest versions of your chosen operating system, including: Windows XP, Vista, 7* or later, Mac OS X 10.6 or later, or Linux: RHEL 5.6 or later, openSUSE 11.3 or later, or Ubuntu 10.04 or later. Check your operating system here.

Please review these requirements before logging into a live session to minimize the chance of technical issues. If you do have a technical problem, use the Tech Support feature on the top Navigation Bar and we will be ready to help!
