What is an email preview?
An email preview shows how your email looks across different inboxes and devices like Gmail on iPhone or Outlook on desktop. It lets you check your email’s appearance before sending, so everything is just right. Each inbox or version you test counts as one preview; for example, checking six Outlook versions and three Apple Mail versions on both mobile and desktop would use 18 previews.
What is an email impression?
An email impression is how we count usage of personalized content like dynamic images or countdown timers. An impression is counted after the email is sent—every time someone opens and views your email. It helps you measure how many people actually see the dynamic content you send.
Do I need an ESP to use Litmus?
You don’t need an ESP to use Litmus, but Litmus can’t send emails for you. You’ll still need an ESP to deliver emails after you’ve tested, previewed, and improved your emails.
Think of Litmus as your trusty co-pilot: it checks your emails, ensures they look great everywhere, and tells you how they’re performing, while your ESP handles the actual delivery.

Can I make a payment by invoice?
We’re happy to provide invoicing on our annual and Enterprise plans. Contact us to set up payment by check or bank transfer. We do not offer monthly invoicing.
What level of support comes with each plan?
All Litmus customers get access to our robust help center along with our amazing customer support team. Additionally, Enterprise plans receive dedicated support from a Customer Success Manager who guides your setup, onboarding, and regularly meets with you to help you get the most from Litmus.
Will I get a reminder before my free trial ends?
Yes. We will send you a reminder email 2 days before your trials ends.
Can I change my plan?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. If you upgrade, the change happens immediately, and you’ll only pay a prorated amount for the rest of the billing cycle. If you downgrade, it will take effect at the end of that billing cycle.
What if I want to cancel my plan?
If you want to cancel, you may do so at any time! You’ll still have access to your paid plan for the remainder of your billing cycle.
