Streamline Your Spam Testing Process with New ESP Integrations
70% of emails show at least one spam-related issue that could impact deliverability—that’s why we created Litmus Spam Testing: we want to make sure your next email isn’t one of them.
Today, we’re thrilled to announce an update that will make running a Spam Test easier than ever. Thanks to our brand-new ESP integration for Spam Testing, you can now start a Spam Test without the hassle of switching back and forth between Litmus and your ESP—and without setting up manual lists for each spam test.
A Quick Recap: What’s Litmus Spam Testing?
You spend hours on writing great copy, creating the perfect design, and troubleshooting tricky rendering issues, but all that time and effort is wasted if your email ends up in the spam folder instead of the inbox. This can happen more often than you think—even if you’re a legit sender, you could end up blocklisted without even realizing it. Litmus scans your emails against 25+ different tests and blocklists, identifies issues that might keep you from the inbox, and provides actionable advice for how to fix them, so you can feel more confident hitting send.
Whether you’re a designer, a marketer, or an agency, Spam Testing can help make sure you reach the inbox every time.

The Power—and Pain—of Seed Lists
While there are a few ways in the market to run a Spam Test, the option that historically has provided the most accurate results is to send your email from your ESP to a set of seed addresses.
While this method provides accurate results and all of the helpful information you need to reach the inbox, we know that the process of setting up and sending to the list of seed addresses can be cumbersome. Many ESPs don’t just let you send to a list of test addresses, so you have to manually create new records for each email address you’d like to send to. That’s a great safeguard to prevent sketchy senders from sending spam, but it also makes it harder for legit senders to utilize seed lists for Spam Testing.
We believe testing your email should be fast and easy, and that you should spend less time copy and pasting, and more time on creating the next great campaign. Do you agree? Then you’ll love this update to Spam Testing.
